Artificial Sweeteners & Weight loss
aware and slowly cut all Artificial sweeteners www.marksdailyapple.com Resources: More than ever, people are consuming large amounts of sugar as part of their daily diet. But in excess, sugar can take its toll. Eating large amounts of sugar adds extra calories, which can cause weight gain. So many people opt for artificial sweeteners — also referred to as sugar substitutes or low-calorie sweeteners — as a way to enjoy their favorite foods without as many calories. What are artificial …

thanks for the tip!
Ugh yeah those are annoying! I guess the link between hfcs and diabetes and obesity are all natural too by their logic, heh
i just recently have been reading more about what artificial sweetners do for inhibiting your weight loss not to mention the other bad things it does. I have splenda that i use. but the Truvia which is Stevia isn’t artificail its from a natural plant so its doesn’t share those bad qualitys that spenda has. I have stevia as well (pronounded steve- ea like the name steve) but i have to get used to it
) I do like it in my pepermint tea

I think they are very bad for you, too many artificial stuff. Also, they make you crave sweets
Yea, I’m slowly phasing out sweeteners as well. I’ll have to try out Truvia, thanks for the tips.

2 supplements suggested for helping to reduce sugar cravings are chromium & l-glutamine. I just drink sparkling water instead of soda, little splash of lemon juice and I really enjoy it now. A trick Im developing for cravings (which I used to help me stop smoking) is to realise sugar is not a treat, its a poison, marketed by people who dont care whether you live or die as long as they get your money. You pay others to poison you. Put a spoonful of lead in your coffee. That kills as well.
Sorry, just wanted to add a bit more, the point being that we see things like sugar as a reward, a treat as a pleasure we are denying ourselves when it is the opposite. Its not a sweet little bunny rabbit that wants to help you feel good, cuddle you and give you cutsy-wutsy feelings inside. Sugar kills. I’ll shut up now.
Small confession… I LOVE sweetner too! Informative video dear!!! <3 R77
good girl, especially cutting sodas is a good idea. Which is what I did, I completely cut sodas and sweets out so long, I don’t one bit of interest in either one, I can stand right in front of the candy aisle a it doesn’t interest me at all.
good thinking. keep on keepin on. We can do this, We will do this! “Strength from within to win the battle.”
Piscean love sent to your location. <3
I don’t use artificial sweeteners and I have problems with chemicals so those are out. Soda is my worse thing, so I now hide it on the top shelf of my pantry which requires me to climb on a step stool to get to it. Since I don’t see it, I don’t crave it like I thought I would. lol
Good luck !
Excellent video. This was very informative to me. I remember when I lost 60 pounds when I was around 16. (I went from 185 to 125.) I cut out all kinds of junk like soda, fast food, fried foods, etc. I ate very healthy. I want to do that again. Congrats to you on changing your diet/way of life! By the way…have you ever tried “sugar in the raw”? :O)
hey, we drink the same drink at starbucks..
i’m a turkey, its tough but its a personal choice
Hey thats great I am going to try to find that sweetner for my coffee (my vice). aspertine is reportedly not good for you. Great video
I drink water! I personally need to watch sugar and I eat little fruit, so I eat more veggies than fruit. But, I do eat foods w/ aspartame in them sometimes, like if I want a sugar free and fat free ice cream. I’ll eat the sugar derivitive, malitol, in cookies at times. I avoid sugar subs on a DAILY basis, though. I buy the Quaker oatmeal that has LOW sugar and I mix one packet of it w/ regular oatmeal to cut that sugar even more! A friend uses Stevia, but I have never tried it.
There actually is no proof that artificial sweeteners are bad for you on the level that we use them. Stevia is obviously a better sugar substitute than aspartame, splenda , or other artificial sweeteners but it doesn’t really matter.
Just keep on the hard work! Cheers Erin
Is the reason why you want to give up artificial sweeteners because they are chemicals and can cause harm? What kind of harm can they cause if taken in large quantities? I only have about 2 tablets a day of artificial sweeteners, would I need to worry about long term or short term harm because of that?
